albclips has no server and no account system. This policy exists to say precisely what that means, and to be checkable rather than reassuring.
albclips runs entirely on the operator’s own computer. It has no server, no analytics, and no account system. It collects no personal information about anyone, and there is no third party for it to share information with.
This policy covers albclips, a desktop application run by a single operator on their own machine. There is no hosted service, no sign-up, and no other users whose data could be involved.
Everything the software produces is written to folders on the machine it runs on and never leaves it, except for the finished video the operator chooses to publish. That local material is:
The access token authorising the software to post is read from an environment variable on the operator’s computer. It is never written into a configuration file, never logged, and never sent anywhere except to the platform that issued it. Revoking the token in the platform’s own settings immediately ends the software’s access.
When the operator publishes a clip, the software sends TikTok the video file itself and a caption, using the video.publish scope. It also reads the account’s permitted privacy settings so that it does not request a visibility the account has not enabled. Nothing else is sent, and nothing is read from the account.
There is no sharing. The software has no server to share from, and the author receives nothing from it. The only outbound transmission is the video the operator publishes, sent to the platform they chose to publish it on, where that platform’s own privacy policy then applies.
Local files stay until the operator deletes them; deleting the application’s folder removes everything it holds. Videos already published to a platform are governed by that platform and must be deleted there.
The software is a professional editing tool and is not directed at children. It collects no information from anyone, children included.
If this policy changes, the revised version appears at this address with a new effective date.
