Albanian long-form video → short vertical clips
albclips is a desktop tool that takes an hour-long Albanian interview or podcast and returns the handful of moments inside it worth watching on their own — cut, subtitled, framed vertically, and posted to its owner’s own TikTok account.
The operator drops a long video into a watched folder. albclips transcribes the Albanian audio locally, finds the passages that stand alone, cuts them, burns in Albanian subtitles, and fits the original frame inside a 9:16 canvas without cropping anyone out of shot.
Each finished clip is then rated — picture, sound, subtitle legibility, whether it opens on something worth staying for — and only the best of each batch are kept.
albclips uses the TikTok Content Posting API, and one scope: video.publish. Its only TikTok operation is uploading a finished video file to the account of the person running it, with a caption generated from that video’s own transcript.
One operator, running it on one Windows machine, publishing footage they own or have permission to publish. albclips is not a service, has no accounts of its own, no sign-up, and no hosted component. Everything runs on the operator’s computer.
